40% of Florida families living below the ALICE threshold reported that sometimes or often “children were not eating enough because we just couldn’t afford enough food. United Way created Project Lifeline in response to the increased number of people in our community going hungry due to economic hardships. Project Lifeline coordinates the bulk purchase and delivery of fresh, nutritious food, including fresh fruits, vegetables, milk, meats, rice, beans, and grains to a network of 33 food pantries and feeding programs. |
