Established in 1991 as a food bank, Farm Share is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization works daily to make sure that food-insecure Floridians receive the food and support they need. To accomplish this task, Farm Share partners with more than 2,000 food pantries, churches, schools and other nonprofits throughout Florida to distribute food every single day. Feeding South Florida’s mission is to end hunger in South Florida by providing immediate access to nutritious food, leading hunger and poverty advocacy efforts and transforming lives through innovative programming and education. 40% of Florida families living below the ALICE threshold reported that sometimes or often “children were not eating enough because we just couldn’t afford enough food. United Way created Project Lifeline in response to the increased number of people in our community going hungry due to economic hardships.

Project Lifeline coordinates the bulk purchase and delivery of fresh, nutritious food, including fresh fruits, vegetables, milk, meats, rice, beans, and grains to a network of 33 food pantries and feeding programs.
